We are seeking an Email Marketing Manager that has experience with Mail chimp, Shopify and Kalviyo. Experience with Apparel e-commerce offers would be ideal. Experience working remote would be beneficial.


Position Overview:

The Email Marketing Manager is a data driven, customer-segmentation specialist who creates and directs email marketing strategy, identifies and refines prospect and customer segments, develops and implements all promotional, transactional and automated email campaigns for Company based on customer data. This position works closely with members of the marketing, e-commerce, creative, and merchandising teams to achieve email, business, and customer growth objectives. This position reports to the COO.


Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions*

  • Develop and implement effective e-mail marketing strategies including contact strategy, segmentation/targeting, ongoing testing, and content, template and creative optimization, designed to drive sales, lifetime value, and loyalty
  • Create, execute and optimize lifecycle, and triggered campaigns
  • Oversee daily email operations and lead email production team. Coordinate email production & QA to ensure that emails are completed and deployed on time and accurately
  • Monitors and reports on the performance of the email program as a whole as well as email trends in creative and segmentation strategies.
  • Provide feedback and recommend changes or optimization to strategy/promotions to executive team based on email performance trends
  • Reports weekly on file growth and develops strategies to drive email lead acquisition and reports on effectiveness of each executed strategy.
  • Establish and execute an email testing strategy (including but not limited to design, templates, frequency, offers and subject lines)

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, E-commerce, or related field
  • 5-year experience in email marketing and or digital marketing
  • Analytical, experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience working with relevant third-party tools, such as Cheetahmail
  • Technical skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, basic HTML manipulation
  • Current knowledge of email marketing best practices and industry best practices
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, while at the same time developing practical and specific strategy and tactics that produces results
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to effectively interact with cross functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in apparel or fashion retail preferred
